Operation
Before first Use
Remove the hedge trimmer and the accessory from the packaging. Dispose off
packaging materials out of reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Assembling
For optimal transport the hedge trimmer is supplied only partly assembled. Please
assemble the unit as follows:
1. Insert the hand protection (2) on the motor housing and mount the hand
protection with the included tapping screws.
2. To connect the hedge trimmer directly to power mains,
insert the direct connection plug (7) into the direct connec-
tion socket (8) on the hedge trimmer and tighten the
threaded sleeve of the direct connection plug.
3. Form a loop in the extension cord and thread the extension
cord through the slot in the handle. Hook
the cord over the moulded cable run (5).
4. Adjust the desired angle of the blades with
the release buttons (4). Press both buttons
inwards and move the handle (9) up or
down.
5. Loose the buttons in order to lock the
blades to the desired stop. If necessary, ask
a third party to assist you. The hedge
trimmer is provided with 6 detents and each
detent has an angle setting of 22.5°.
Operating
1. Connect the plug of the hedge trimmer with
the extension cord and a wall socket.
2. Remove the blade protection (3).
3. To switch on the hedge trimmer, first press the safety switch (5a) inwards,
and than press the ON/OFF switch (10) either on the right side of the handle
or on the left side. Release the safety switch. Firmly hold the upper handle
with one hand and with the other hand the bottom handle.
4. Before adjusting the angle of inclination, disconnect from power mains.
