5. Put the shoulder strap on your shoulder and adjust to the desired length or
completely remove the strap when disused.
6. To start the hedge trimmer, first press and hold the safety switch (5a) pressed
and press the ON/OFF switch (16) on the extension pole. With the handle
adjustment (14) on the extension pole you can incline the hedge trimmer to
an angle up to 90° to the left and to the right.
7. Before changing the angle of
inclination or moving the handle
adjustment, disconnect the plug
from power mains.
8. Press the handle and the pole
together (
I
) and turn the handle in
direction 0° resp. 90° (
II
). Loose
the handle in order to allow the
handle adjustment to lock into the
desired stop.
9. After trimming, disassemble the
extension pole and screw the protection cap with the direct connection cable
on the direct connection socket (8).
Changing the Carbon Brushes
Disconnect the plug from power mains before changing the carbon brushes.
1. To change the carbon brushes, unscrew both, black caps (9) with a suitable
screwdriver and remove the caps. Behind the caps you will find the carbon
brushes.
2. Insert the new included carbon brushed into place and tighten the cap again.
Changing the Blade
Use a suitable screwdriver and unscrew the four screws on the bottom side of
the blade cover in order to remove the blade.
Lever the wider side of the cover out of the housing. Use a suitable tool
(screwdriver). Slide the cover off the housing.
Remove both hex nuts with an 8 mm spanner. Observe the correct sequence
of the parts and set them down in correct sequence for reassembly to avoid
any confusion.
