Automatic Calibration (ACAL)
This menu is used to initiate the self-calibration function. The positioner will perform several
calibration
steps by calling the following function sequence:
1.
Snsr
- Sensor Calibration
2.
Lo
- Low (Zero) Calibration
3.
Hi
- High (Span) Calibration
4.
Trnd
- Transducer Calibration
5.
PID Auto
- Automatic PID Tuning
6.
Node Add
(FF Node Address configuration)
To start the Auto Calibration from the normal operation screen, press the “CAL” button until
ACAL
is
shown on the display. Press and hold the “CAL” button until it starts the automatic calibration.
Automatic calibration goes through the five sequences and, when complete, it goes back to the main
screen.

This automatic calibration is adequate for most applications. If not, advanced calibration is required.
To abort the Auto Calibration, press and hold “Up” and “Down” buttons simultaneously to abort the
current calibration step. Please note that the previous calibrations steps were already saved in the non-
volatile memory and cannot be reverted. For more details about exiting the calibration, please see the
Section 8.9.6
