Many of the parameters, functions and methods available in the EDD menus are also available over the FF network
with similar parameters in the Resource, Transducer and function blocks. The descriptions of the most important
parameters, functions and methods available in the EDD menus are presented in the following sections and in the
Chapter 11
(Appendix B – Foundation Fieldbus Network).
NOTE:
Before executing any calibration and configuration in the ICoT, the user must be sure that the positioner-
actuator-valve system is receiving an appropriate pressure in its input. To check that, the input pressure gauge
should measure the expected pressure value and the ICoT local display should not show the diagnostic message
“Low pressure”. See Section 11.7 (Diagnostic Messages) for more information about meaning and solutions
applicable in this case.
