Power / Network Field wiring – Remote Mount – ICoT 5400
1.
Mount the magnet and bracket to the actuator as described before for a linear actuator.
2.
Mount the position sensor housing so that the conduit entry faces away from the diaphragm or
cylinder. See next figure.
3.
Remove cover (5 screws) of the remote mounted ICoT 5400 Positioner and complete network
wiring as in section 4.2 of this document.
4.
Remove the internal electronic canister cover by unscrewing (2) mounting screws.
Locate terminal J6 and connect the remote sensor cable plug as shown below (connect as in
Detail A)
5.
Run the remote cable through positioner conduit entry (use proper gland fitting for IP66 rating
for 0.162” O.D. cable).
6.
Locate the actuator mounted Position Sensor enclosure and remove cover. Run remote cable
through Position Sensor conduit entry (use proper gland fitting for IP66 rating for 0.162” O.D.
cable).
7.
Wire the cable from Position Sensor enclosure and remote positioner as shown in Figure 5-1 –
Diagram of the connection between the ICoT 5400 positioner and the remote mounted position
After all connections have been made and tested replace the Position Sensor enclosure cover and the
ICoT Positioner cover
