Before first Use
Remove the unit and the accessory out of the packaging. Keep packaging
materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
The battery compartment of the weather station is located at the backside of
the housing. Depress the latch of the battery compartment lid and open the
battery compartment.
Insert 2 new batteries of the type LR6 (AA) into the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the proper polarity of the batteries. The polarity is printed inside the
battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment with the lid.
Install the weather station in a range of up to 30 m (free field) away from the
transmitter / from the PC. Use the supplied stand or hang the weather station
to a hook on the wall (grommet at the backside).
Software Installation
1. Power up your PC. Make sure the PC is connected to the internet.
2. Connect the transmitter (20) to a USB port of your PC. The USB driver for this
device is installed automatically in the background. The installation process
can take a few seconds. When the installation has been successfully finished,
a message appears on the screen accordingly.
3. Insert the supplied CD-ROM with installation software in the CD/DVD-ROM
drive of your PC. If the Auto Start function for CD-ROMs is enabled, the
software starts automatically from the CD-ROM. If the Auto Start function is
disabled, please run the program "weather_ask1.6.exe" manually from the
CD-ROM. You will be guided step by step through the installation.
