Operation
Changing the Batteries
1. Before opening the solar pest killer, slide the ON/OFF switch (2)
in direction OFF.
As the built-in capacitor is still energised, you have to cause
short-circuit in order to avoid unpleasant electric shock.
2. Insert the metal end of a screwdriver
into the pest grille (7) and touch
both metallic grilles. You will see a
small spark.
3. Turn the solar pest killer upside
down, on the cover (5), as shown.
4. Hold the cover (5) tight and turn the
external grille (6) counter clockwise
to remove the external grille.
5. Open the battery compartments (3).
Replace the spent batteries with
new of the same type and size. Ob-
serve right polarity, which is shown
in the battery compartment. Use
only batteries of the type 1.2 V,
LR06 (AA), 600 mA Ni-MH.
6. Close the battery compartments
correctly and hook the external grille
into the notches.
