Removing The Factory Lock/Unlock Options
It is sometimes useful to undo the Factory Lock options in order to prevent inad-
vertent access or preset permissions changes. The Factory Lock utility is used once
again, but this time we tell it to remove the Factory preset permissions from the GUI.
To do this, run the utility again, pointing it to the same GUI installation folder used
previously, and instead of clicking on UN-LOCK, click on LOCK instead. Remember
again that the GUI must not be running or the utility will not be able to modify its
permissions!
If Factory Lock permissions have been removed, opening the
Library dialog and right clicking on a preset should reveal
that the Factory Lock Preset option is now gone, as shown
at left.
