CONTROL PANEL AND GLASS
■
Spray glass cleaner and soft cloth or sponge:
Apply spray glass cleaner to soft cloth or sponge, not directly
on panel.
OVEN CAVITY
Food spills containing sugar or milk products should be cleaned
when oven cools, as soon as possible after happening. At high
temperatures, sugar reacts with porcelain and staining, etching,
pitting or faint white spots can result.
SELF-CLEANING MODELS

Self-Cleaning cycle:
See “Oven Self-Cleaning Cycle” section on page 17 first.
STANDARD-CLEANING MODELS
For easier cleaning, the oven door can be removed according to
the “Removable Oven Door” section on page 20.

Oven cleaner:
Make sure room is well-ventilated. Do not let cleaner contact
gasket, thermostat or exterior surfaces because damage will
occur. Line the floor with newspaper. Follow product label
instructions.
OVEN W INDOW GLASS
(on some models)

Spray glass cleaner and paper towels or non-abrasive plastic
scrubbing pad
OVEN RACKS

Steel wool pad
■
On Self-Cleaning models, the Self-Cleaning cycle:

BROILER PAN AND GRID
Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycle.

Solution of
¹|₂
cup (125 mL) ammonia to 1 gallon (3.75 L)
water:
Soak for 20 minutes, then scrub with scouring or steel wool
pad.

Oven cleaner:
Place pan and grid on newspaper. Spray with oven cleaner.
Follow product label instructions.

Mildly abrasive cleanser:
Scrub with wet scouring pad.

Dishwasher
STORAGE DRAW ER CAVITY
Make sure drawer is cool before cleaning.

Cooktop Light Replacement
(on models with fluorescent light)
To replace the fluorescent light tube:
1. Unplug range or disconnect power.
2. Lift the cover on top of the control console by lifting the front
edge at both ends.
3. Grasp the fluorescent tube at both ends.
4. Turn the tube 90 degrees and lift out of the receptacle.
5. Replace with an F1 8T8 type fluorescent tube.
6. Rotate the tube back by 90 degrees to the original position.
7. Plug in range or reconnect power.
Oven Light Replacement
To replace the oven light :
1. Unplug range or disconnect power.
2. Make sure that the oven and light bulb are cool.
3. Remove the glass bulb cover in the back of the oven by
screwing it out counterclock-wise.
4. Remove the light bulb from its socket. Replace the bulb with
a 40-watt appliance bulb.
5. Replace the bulb cover by screwing it in clockwise.
6. Plug in range or reconnect power.
NOTE: The oven light will not work during the self-cleaning cycle.
Appliance Outlet Circuit Breakers
(on some models)
The circuit breakers for the appliance outlets on your range are
located under the cover on top of the control console. They are
rated for 12 amps.
Lift the cover by lifting the front edge at both ends.
On models equipped with a fluorescent cooktop light, remove the
fluorescent tube to gain access to the circuit breakers.
