Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
CAVITY THERMOSTAT &
HUMIDITY SENSOR
FC THERMISTOR
Refer to page 4-22 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the cavity thermostat and humidity
sensor.
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect
power.
2. Disconnect one of the wires from the
cavity thermostat terminals, or discon-
nect the wire connector for the humidity
sensor from the relay control board.
3.
To test the cavity thermostat:
a) Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
b) Touch the ohmmeter test leads to
the thermostat terminals. The meter
should indicate a closed (0
Ω
) circuit.
4.
To test the humidity sensor:
a) Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1K
scale.
b) Touch the ohmmeter test leads to sen-
sor connector pins 1 and 3, and then
2 and 3. The meter should indicate ap-
proximately 2.8 K
Ω
@ 77
°
F (25
°
C).
Refer to page 4-22 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the FC thermistor.
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect
power.
2. Disconnect one of the wires from the FC
thermistor terminals.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 100K scale.
4. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
FC thermistor connector pins. The meter
should indicate 230 K
Ω
±20% @ 77
°
F
(25
°
C).
