1 PC with PACTware
2 RS232, USB or Bluetooth interface
3 HART modem
4 HART resistance
5 power supply unit
Necessary components:
•
Model LH-20 with signal output 4 … 20 mA/
HART
•
PC with PACTware and suitable DTM
•
HART modem
•
HART resistance approx. 250 Ω
•
Power supply unit 24 V
Hinweis:
With power supply units with integrated
HART resistance (internal resistance
approx. 250 Ω) no additional external
resistance is necessary. In such cases,
the HART modem can be connected in
parallel to the 4 … 20 mA cable.
5.2 Parameter adjustment with
PACTware
The further setup steps with detailed descrip-
tions can be found in the online help of PACTwa-
re and the DTMs.
Hinweis:
Keep in mind that for the setup of model
LH-20, the current version of the DTM-
Collection must be used.
The latest DTM Collection and PACTware
version can be downloaded free of charge via
the Internet.
6 Maintenance and fault
rectification
6.1 Maintenance, cleaning
If the instrument is used properly, no special
maintenance is required in normal operation.
In some applications, product buildup on the
sensor diaphragm can influence the measuring
result. Depending on the sensor and appli-
cation, take precautions to ensure that heavy
buildup, and especially a hardening thereof, is
avoided.
If necessary, the transmitter has to be cleaned.
In this case, make sure that the materials are
resistant against the cleaning detergents.
6.2 Rectify faults
Check the 4 … 20 mA signal
Connect a multimeter in the suitable measuring
range according to the wiring plan.
