Willow Breast Pump Instructions for Use
WHEN PUMP IS IN USE
Orange Blinking
Milk Bag, Flextube
™
or Flange not
assembled correctly.
Separate Flange from Pump and check the 3 connections
(reference Section 7A. GET READY - Assembly):
1. Milk Bag One-way Valve to Flextube.

2. Flextube
™
to Flange Spout.
3. Flange Slot to Pump Tab and pivot closed.
If the issue persists, call Customer Care.
White Pulsing
and
Orange Blinking
No latch / Pump
cannot achieve
or has lost suction.
Reposition Pump with special attention to these tips
(reference Section 7B. PUMPING - Alignment):
1. Bra is not between Pump and breast.
2. Tip of nipple is centered in Flange Tunnel.
3. Pump is pressed securely against breast while trying to latch.
If the issue persists, complete steps for orange blinking alert
(Milk Bag, Flextube
™
or Flange not assembled correctly).
White Solid
Milk Bag is full.
Remove full bag and store properly.
Change bag and continue pumping.
White Pulsing
Pump paused and
waiting for next
command,
or
Pumping time
exceeded 25 minutes,
so automatically
paused.
• To continue pumping, press Pump/Pause button.
• To end session, break latch and remove Pump.
OTHER ISSUES
TO RESOLVE ISSUE
Pump does
not “pump.”
• Check that Pump is not plugged into Charger.
• Confirm that Pump is powered on by pressing the On/Off button until Pump lights up.
• Confirm battery level is orange or green. If red, recharge Pump.
Milk does
not flow.
• Check nipple alignment - remove Pump from breast, bend over and realign taking
care to center nipple in Flange Tunnel (reference Section 7B. PUMPING - Alignment).
Press Pump against breast and initiate latch (reference Section 7B. PUMPING -
Initiate Latch).
• If let-down has not yet occurred, consider leaving Pump on breast for longer
period of time to observe for possible delayed let-down. Note: Initial milk
let-down time and milk flow rate vary for each person.
• You may not have the correct Flange size.
Discomfort
while pumping.
If experiencing excessive discomfort try the following
(reference Section 7B. PUMPING - Alignment):
• Make sure to press Willow firmly against breast during Stimulation phase.
• Adjust suction level.
• Check nipple alignment - pause Pump, break latch, remove Pump
from breast and reposition taking care to center nipple.
• Adjust bra to make sure Willow is held firmly against breast.
• Stop and see medical professional or breastfeeding specialist.
• You may not have the correct Flange size.
• You may be pumping for too long. Willow shuts off automatically after 25 minutes.
