Read the operating manual thoroughly before using the reciprocating saw.

When working with the reciprocating saw, wear protective glasses.

Proper use

This product is a hand-guided power tool, which can saw various materials, due to the lifting motion of
a single-sided fixed sawing blade. Tight corners and wavy lines can be sawn into thin sheets or boards.
Wood, metal, plastic and other similar materials stated in the manual can be processed. In the pendulum
stroke  operation  (optional),  the  saw  blade  oscillates  back  and  forth,  this  enables  the  saw  dust  to  be
ejected better. Only saw blades which have been authorised by the manufacturer, as stated in the op-
erating manual, may be used.

Improper use

All purposes of the device, which are no

t stated in the chapter “Proper use,” are regarded as a not proper

use of the device.

The device must

not

be used for the following purposes:

sawing firewood,

processing materials containing asbestos or other hazardous materials.

For all material damage as well as personal injury, which occurs due to misuse, resulting from this, the
operator of the device is liable. When using other/not original parts, the warranty of the device given by
the manufacturer will expire.

Residual risks

Even when using the device properly, there is a certain residual risk, which cannot be entirely excluded.
With this type and design of device, the following potential dangers can derive:

injuries from cuts with contact with the unprotected part of the saw blade,

injuries from cuts with ejected broken parts of the saw blade,

thrusts with work pieces being repercussed and ejected,

loss of hearing ability without a necessary hearing protection when working,

electric shock with contact with electrical currents due to broken or damaged (e.g., sawn) supply
cables, motor casing,

emissions of harmful saw dust.

If  the  instructions  contained  in  this  operating  manual  are  not  followed,  other  risks  can  occur  due  to
improper operation.
