Thermal disinfection
Operation
Turning the key switch will cause the entire system to change into thermal disinfection
operating mode. This will disable all other functions, making it impossible to trigger any
operations via buttons. After a safety delay of 30 s, the first device will execute a
disinfection cycle.
When the disinfection cycle begins, the red AquaCap button for the temperature control
function begins to flash and the display alternates between showing ‘t-d’ and the current
water temperature. The thermal disinfection takes 12 minutes; however, if scalding protection
has been enabled (DIP 1 = ON, see p. 39), it will be immediately aborted if a user enters the
detection range. In this case, thermal disinfection will start again two minutes after no user
has been present in the detection range. A cold water (PWC) rinse takes place for 10 s after
the thermal disinfection has ended. The AquaCap button belonging to the rain shower
then
lights up to indicate that the disinfection cycle has been completed.
If you return the key switch to the off position, thermal disinfection is aborted immediately
(the device that was performing a cycle will perform a 10 s cold water (PWC) rinse).
If you turn the key switch again, thermal disinfection will start again.
Provide for adequate ventilation to ensure proper operation of the scalding protection function.
