Test functions
A brief internal test is carried during start-up phase. The display shows “WINCOR
NIXDORF” and the current jumper setting status if no errors are detected during the
test. The display remains blank if any error is detected.
The identification is called with the following ESC sequence:
ESC[0c
The display runs through the self-test program once when the code is transmitted to the
display. Code:
ESC[?3;nn;2;4;30c
The current version number (00-99) is to be entered in place of nn.
The self-test program performs the following functions:
•
The microprocessor and the RAM within the processor are tested.
•
Formation and comparison of the execution code (either in PROM or FLASH ROM)
checksum.
•
The LCD module is tested. Vertical and horizontal bars are displayed, these enable
you to check the missing of the display pixels.
•
The 32K byte static RAM is tested with variable patterns and fixed patterns.
•
The FLASH ROM is tested, this includes execute code and character fonts.
Messages are displayed if any of them are missing.
•
The status of jumper setting and the execution code version are displayed.
