Write the applicable data on the oil analysis form (for example operation conditions, fuel
parameters, cylinder lubricating feed rate).

Do an oil analysis of the samples on-board. The oil analysis must include the data that
follows:

Residual BN
•
Iron (Fe) content (if possible).

If necessary, do the applicable recommended procedures, refer to section
[section not
applicable for this engine]
or to the document “Lubricants” on the WinGD website (https://
www.wingd.com/).

Send the oil samples to a laboratory for an oil analysis.
8.1
Make sure that the sample bottles are tightly closed.
8.2
Put the sample bottles in an applicable package.

Compare the oil analysis from the laboratory with the oil analysis from on-board.

If the oil analyses are different, do the applicable recommended procedures related to the
oil analysis from the laboratory, refer to section
[section not applicable for this engine]
or
