Safety instructions
Important – warning!
This user instruction must be read thoroughly before the chair is taken into use.
•
The maximum capacity is 140 kg. and this must
never
be exceeded.
•
There must be no indication of wear and tear on the chair. NEVER use the chair if
there is suspicion of any defect (abnormal sound, loose brackets etc.). In such cases
it is important to find the cause and to take the chair out of service and contact your
dealer or Winncare Nordic.
•
Under special circumstances a build-up of static electricity can occur (e.g. using on a
plastic floor or in very dry air). These conditions should be avoided.
•
No smoking in the chair since the seat, back rest and neck support contain flammable
materials.
•
Brake the wheels if there is any danger of inadvertent movement i.e. on a ramp or
other slope.
•
When using the chair with other equipment ensure that no dangerous situations can
arise. When using with a hoist ensure that sling straps cannot get tangled around the
wheels.
•
Make sure that the chair is correctly set for the user and either the user or carer is
squeezed during use.
•
It is the carer / institutions responsibility to ensure that using the chair is safe.
Before use
The carer/user is responsible for ensuring that a check is carried out BEFORE Hera II is used
and have received instructions in its correct use.
Before use check following
:
1)
Ensure that there are no parts missing and the chair is suited the user.
2)
Ensure that there are no signs of wear and tear or other defects.
3)
Try the tilt function and ensure that the seat and the wheels are in order.
4)
Ensure that accessories are in good working order.
5)
If in any doubt concerning the use of Hera II contact Winncare Nordic or your dealer
for advice and guidance.
