SECTION 7 –
PLUMBING
7-10
The center outlet section may be swiveled
downward for better hose alignment and
drainage.
NOTE: Always keep service access passage
closed while utility connection is not in
use.
When using a sewer hook-up, keep the dump
valves closed until a tank becomes full or when
preparing to leave the site. This keeps the solids
in suspension, allowing them to be carried out
with the liquids when the dump valve is opened.
If the valve is left open, the liquids will drain
off, leaving solids in the tank. Should this
accidentally happen, disconnect the hose, fill the
tank about half full with water, and drive a few
miles to dislodge the solids. A few starts and
stops will aid in the process. Then reconnect the
hose and drain in the normal manner.
Holding Tank Level Indicators
See
Systems Monitor Panel
in Section 4–
Appliances
for further information on the
monitor panel and checking tank levels.
See
Specifications
in Section 1–Introduction
for tank capacities for your model.
UTILITY LIGHT
A light is located up on the left sidewall to
illuminate the utility hook-up area when needed.
The switch is located in the water service
center compartment.
WATER DRAIN VALVES
The water drain valves are used to drain water
from the water tank and the water supply lines
when preparing the motor home for storage or
when sanitizing the water system.
To Drain Water Tank
The fresh water tank drain valve is opened by
turning the valve handle located in the first right
compartment behind the swing out television.
•
Open both Hot and Cold water line valves.
•
Turn Fresh Water Valve to ‘Tank Fill’
position.
•
Turn the handle to drain the water tank.
•
Close valve immediately after draining to
avoid entrance by insects or blown debris.
To Drain Water Lines
The water line drain caps are located in the
water center compartment on the driver side and
in other compartments depending on model.
Remove the drain caps to drain water from hot
and cold water lines.
Water Heater Drain Plug
The water heater drain plug is located on the
outside of the coach behind the water heater
service panel. Use a socket to remove the plug.
