SmartPAC PRO Standard Features
SmartPAC PRO brings a multitude of press automation functions to one central location. Standard
features include:
•
All settings are made at the operator console, using SmartPAC PRO’s touch display
•
Tool programs are automatically saved in SmartPAC PRO’s memory. To use the same settings
when you run the job again, simply re-load your stored tool number. SmartPAC PRO can save
settings for thousands of tools.
•
SmartPAC PRO’s built-in brake monitor checks brake wear by measuring stop time whenever the
press stops and displaying that value in milliseconds. SmartPAC PRO also displays the number of
degrees that it takes the press to stop.
•
Fault messages appear on the SmartPAC PRO display whenever the press malfunctions, counter
presets are reached, or stopping/starting times exceed set limits. An error/event log maintains a
record of the most recent errors and events.
•
SmartPAC PRO is Ethernet-ready, allowing the control to be connected to your network.
Network connectivity allows press operations to be viewed remotely via the SmartView utility,
enables complete backup of tool and initialization settings and allows sending e-mail messages
containing diagnostics and error log information from the SmartPAC PRO.
•
SmartPAC PRO upgrades and enhancements can be installed quickly and easily. Upgrades can be
either downloaded directly to SmartPAC PRO via the local network or installed via a USB disk.
SmartPAC PRO Options
For additional information on any of these SmartPAC PRO options and capabilities, contact your
Wintriss Sales Representative or Wintriss Customer Support.
•
Die protection and programmable cam switch options can be added to your SmartPAC PRO.
When configured with the DiProPAC option, SmartPAC PRO can monitor up to 32 sensors,
to detect malfunctions such as stock buckling, misfeeds, and improper part ejection.
•
When the ProCamPAC option is installed, Smart PAC PRO provides cam timing for feed,
pilot release, air blow-off, and other press equipment. ProCamPAC also includes global cams
for press control functions, an ON WITH DSV cam type, and multiple on/off cycles per cam.
•
Info Center, another SmartPAC PRO option, enables setup sheets and other information to be
displayed on the SmartPAC PRO screen. This option allows you to store information needed
throughout the plant on a central server, where it is available to operators via SmartPAC
PRO’s Ethernet connectivity.
•
Optional external modules such as the WPC 2000 Clutch/Brake Control, AutoSetPAC or
WaveFormPAC tonnage monitors, ProPAC In-Die Measurement Systems, and RamPAC
Automatic Shut Height and Counterbalance Control can also be added to the SmartPAC
PRO.
