11.1.8 Side rail extension
– „Extender
®
“ for side rails controlled from top (SR55)
It is recommended to use Extender
®
(model number SR55) if a mattress higher than the recommended height
was placed on the bed. The Extender
®
is used to raise the height of the side rails and helps to secure patients
safety. The Extender
®
is designed for single collapsible side rails only.
It is recommended to use Extender
®
with the following mattresses:
Passive mattress:
higher than 16 cm, with maximum height 26,5 cm
Active mattress:
with maximum height 26,5 cm

Install the Extender
®
as follows:
Place the Extender
®
(without securing screws) on the upper edge of the side rail (Fig. 31). Side rails must
be in upper position. Square hole is pointed into the mattress platform.
Insert screws from the inside of the bed thru the securing holes in Extender
®.
Secure the screws with the plastic rosette nuts and tighten (Fig. 32). The rosette nuts are pointed outside
from the bed.
Check if the Extender
®
is secured correctly by pushing it sideways.

The Extender
®
can be used with single collapsible side rails only. The manufacturer will not be held
responsible for any consequences if the Extender
®
is used with other types of side rails.
Movement of the bed must be considered if the Extender
®
is installed.

in a manner other than stated in this user manual is on the responsibility of
personnel. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for incorrect use!
