If the upward movement of the tailgate is stopped at any position except the fully open
position, both Tailgate Up and Tailgate Down switches will flash red.

:
When the tailgate reaches the fully open position, the Tailgate Up switch will turn green while
the Tailgate Down switch will turn blue.
Tailgate Down Switch
This switch (see Figure 3-17) is used to lower the tailgate. Press it and keep it down to completely
close and lock the tailgate or to lower it until it rests on the tailgate safety prop.

MPORTANT
:
When the tailgate is completely closed and locked, put both tailgate-locking pins back in place.

:
If the downward movement of the tailgate is stopped at any position except the fully closed and
locked position, both Tailgate Up and Tailgate Down switches will flash red.

:
Each time the tailgate is unlocked, the message “Tailgate Unlocked” appears on the display
monitor.

:
When the tailgate is locked back, both the in-cab buzzer (see Figure 3-19) and the backup
alarm will stop sounding off. The red warning light, located on the buzzer, will also stop
blinking.

:
When the tailgate is completely closed and locked, the Tailgate Down switch will turn green
while the Tailgate Up switch will turn blue.
