Switch off the device and disconnect it from the charger before open it to remove the accumulator.
The SIM-card and its contacts can be damaged easily by scratches or bending. Because of this handle the card
with care and insert or remove the card carefully.
1.
Push the back cover down and remove it (1).
2.
Remove the accumulator (2).
3.
Insert the SIM-card into the retaining bracket and take care that golden contacts are pointing
downwards (3).
4.
Insert the accumulator (4) and attach the back cover again (5).
5.
For removing the SIM-cards take the steps above vice-versa.
Functions without SIM-card
Some functions of the device can be used without an inserted SIM-card like the organizer and the games. But
different functions of the menu are blanked off and cannot be used without a SIM-card.
Access codes
The phone code helps to protect your cell phone from unauthorized usage. The pre-set code is 1234. It is
possible to change this code by the user and to set the phone that the code will be required or not. Keep the
code a secret and do not store it together with the cell phone. If you forget this code and the phone gets
blocked it is necessary to bring it to your service provider.
Every SIM-card comes with a PIN-code which protects it from unauthorized usage. Some SIM-cards come with
a PIN2-code which is required for the access of some services. If a wrong PIN- or a wrong PIN2-code is entered
three times you need a PUK- or a PUK2-code to unblock the SIM-card. If you do not possess one please ask
your service provider for it.
Charging the Accumulator
Factory-provided the accumulator is not fully charged. If the device`s state of charge is too low do like this:
1.
Connect the charger to an electric outlet.
2.
Connect the charger also to the cell phone.
3.
When the load indicator shows that the battery is fully charged disconnect the charger from the device
and from the electric outlet as well.
The accumulator does not need to be charged for a certain time and it is possible to call while being charged. If
the accumulator is completely discharged it may take some time until the load indicator will show the charging
process or until it is possible to call.
The Key Lock
To prevent that the keys get hit accidentally activate the integrated key lock.
For adjusting that the keys get locked automatically after a certain period of time press Menu > Settings >
Settings > Auto Keypad Lock > On or Off.
For cancelling the key lock chooses Unlock and press # during the next 1.5 seconds.
To answer the phone while the key lock is active presses the dialing key. After the call ended or is rejected the
key lock will be active again automatically.
If the device is locked or the key lock is active it is probably possible making emergency calls still.
