Switch on the appliance, using the On/Off button

After switching the appliance on, keep the x2-button

down for approx. 5 seconds. The pump
will start running.
Once the descaling program has started, the x2 button will light up continuously in red. After around 20
minutes, the first phase of the descaling program ends. The ready indicator flashes red; the x2 button
lights up in red again.
>
Rinse out the water tank before filling it with 1 litre of tap water- but no more than the capacity
of the catch basin.
>
Replace the water tank into the appliance.
The ready indicator flashes red; the x2 button continues to light up in red.
>
Place the emptied catch basin underneath the spouts again.
>
Turn the adjusting knob

to position .

Press one of the two cup buttons

Rinsing begins.
>
Once the ready indicator starts to flash red again, rinse once again. Repeat the above steps. Do so
by turning the adjusting knob to position
z
.
After rinsing a second time, the appliance automatically switches to the Off state.

Turn the adjusting knob back to the home position

when no more liquid is being dispensed.
>
Reinsert the water filter back, as shown in section “Inserting the water filter (see Fig. 7)” on
page 10 (see Fig. 7).
>
We recommend that you wash the pad cartridge, coffee dispensing cartridge and strainer in the
dish washer after descaling.
