Fault code
Class 1
Cause of fault
Target values
Resolution of fault
TR =
Flue gas temperature
too low. Measurement point:
Combustion chamber.
Sensor NiCrNi
Image / case 1
Do not ignite! Empty pot
first. See to the right
Flue gas fan temperature TR
too low. There are often also unburned
pellets in the burner pot.
Case 1:
False start
; burner pot filled
with pellets, no flame. TR temperature
not reached:
Burner pot / unit not cleaned
false start
Negative pressure in installa-
tion room (resulting in flow re-
versal in the ignition)
false
start (often associated with flue
gas escaping from the unit)
Ignition cartridge defective
false start
TR ≥ 150 °C
Query occurs 18
minutes after the
start signal for
the furnace for
the first time, and
is then monitored
continually.
Upon restart, the
query waits 18
minutes again.
Always clean / empty burner
pot before restarting. Atten-
tion: Never empty content of
burner pot into the storage
container
– risk of fire from
embers!
Troubleshooting:
Inspect,
verify combustion air supply.
Negative pressure in the in-
stallation room of the furnace
due to exhaust hood, residen-
tial ventilation or pneumatic
conveyance systems is not
permitted and dangerous.
Also see country-specific reg-
ulations and separate tech-
nical information. Inspect igni-
tion cartridge. Only after-
wards, perform manual reset
via I/O button
Image / case 2
Do not ignite! Empty pot
first. See to the right
Case 2 cause:
Shut-down in opera-
tion
, because there aren't enough pel-
lets in the storage container or container
has run empty (there are only a few pel-
lets in the burner pot)
Remedy for case 2: refill pel-
lets, empty / clean burner pot.
Reset and restart.
TP =
Pellet chute temperature too
high
Measurement
point:
Pellet
chute
Measurement sensor: TP 1000
External error!
Caused for example by negative pres-
sure due to ventilation system or extrac-
tion hood. Or chimney draught much too
low with voltage failure (fan). Or pellets
with through-put/heating value that is
much too high.
TP < 200 °C
There is not a unit defect!
Allow unit to cool until TP is
below threshold.
Find and resolve
exter-
nal cause
. Only afterwards,
manual reset via I/O button
See above regarding nega-
tive pressure
ST =
safety temperature limiter STB
has triggered!
Measurement point of air units:
capillary sensor on storage
container radiation plate
STB measurement sensor ac-
cording to DIN 3440.
Notice,
the STB is a mandatory, au-
tonomous safety component
with its own switch housing
and
operates
decoupled
from the control.
External error!
Unit temperature is too high. STB trig-
gered because temperature is too high
(safety function). Normally an external
cause, not a unit fault, because STB is
only triggered if the heat generated by
the unit is not withdrawn.
Causes:
Overheating
T
STB
≤ 95 °C
no query possi-
ble.
There is not a unit defect.
Find and resolve external
cause.
Inspect convection
air inlets and outlets. Re-
duce heating output if the
room temperature is too
high.
Allow unit to cool until STB
is below threshold.
Only af-
terwards,
unlock the STB
+
manual reset via I/O button
