Dolby Surround Upmix
: The Dolby Surround Upmix option upmixes
channel-based content, but does not apply to audio objects. This setting
applies to Dolby Digital Plus bitstreams only. To enable Dolby Surround
Upmix, the
Dolby Atmos Decode
option must be turned
On
. Set the
Dolby
Surround Upmix
switch to
On
to enable to enable the Dolby Surround
Upmix option. Set the switch to
Off
to disable to disable the Dolby Surround
Upmix option.
DD+ Configuration
1.
Compression Mode
: Setting a compression mode is not required. If you do
not need or want to set the mode, leave the default selection as
Line
.
Otherwise, select the
Line
or
RF
mode as appropriate to your decoding
requirements.
2.
DRC Compression Cut
: This option is used only when the
Compression
Mode
is set to
Line
. 1.0 is equivalent to 100% Dynamic Range Control
Compression Cut Rate and each 0.1 is equivalent to 10%. Set the DRC
Compression Cut Rate in the range of 0 to 1, in increments of 0.1. Select an
option from the pull down list. The default setting is 0.

DRC Compression Boost
: This option is used only when the
Compression
Mode
is set to
Line
. 1.0 is equivalent to 100% Dynamic Range Control
Compression Boost Rate and each 0.1 is equivalent to 10%. Set the DRC
Compression Boost Rate in the range of 0 to 1, in increments of 0.1. Select
an option from the pull down list. The default setting is 0.
ED2 Configuration

Audio Presentation
: This option is used only when the Dolby ED2 is
present. ED2 supports multiple presentations. This screen allows you to
determine which presentation is used as default when in Dolby Zoom mode.
Set the Audio Presentation in the range of 1 to 16. If you select a
presentation that does not exist in the stream, it will default to Presentation
1.
Loudness Setup
1.
Loudness Standard
: Loudness Standards vary in broadcasting throughout
the world. Select the Loudness Standard from the pull down list. The
available standards are:
a.
ATSC
: For broadcasts originating in North America
b.
ARIB
: For broadcasts originating in Japan
c.
EBU R128
: For broadcasts originating in Europe
d.
Free TV
: For broadcasts originating in Australia
2.
Dialogue Intelligence
: Select
On
to apply Dolby Dialogue Intelligence, if
applicable, for the broadcast stream.
3.
Speech Threshold
: Set the Loudness Speech Threshold to any setting
between 1 and 100 percent. Select an option from the pull down list. The
default setting is 20 percent.
4.
Metering Mode
: This shows the metering mode that was automatically
chosen based upon the Loudness standard. Either of the following will be
displayed:
