Cooling
Demand, cooling source
A demand will also be issued to the cooling source as soon as a demand
is issued to the cooling circuit pump. The demand is a two stage demand,
subject to control deviation. A minimum runtime is adjustable. Both outputs
are switched when a demand for stage 2 is issued
Switching of direct evaporator
If a direct evaporator has been configured, it will be switched subject to the
prevailing cooling demand.
In other words, if the actual supply air temperature exceeds the set supply
air temperature by the value set for "Direct evaporator stage 1 ON", that
stage starts.
Stage 1 will be switched off again when the supply air temperature falls
below the set supply air temperature by the value selected for "Direct
evaporator stage 1 OFF". The switching points for stage 2 are set in the
same way.
The switch-on/switch-off times for a direct evaporator can also be set using
the parameters "Times, stages Minimum ON", "Times, stages Minimum
OFF", "Switch delay stages, same direct evaporator" and "Switch delay
stages, different direct evaporator".
The compressor can be blocked if a set supply air temperature is not
achieved, or when the outside temperature is low.
Control of integrated cooling source (chiller)
If a direct evaporator is fitted in the system, there is a parameter to select
whether or not the evaporator is integrated in the air handling unit. In the
case of an integrated chiller, the maximum air flow during active cooling
should be adhered to, in order to avoid triggering a high pressure alarm
on the chiller. When the "Chiller integrated" parameter is set to Yes, further
parameters are displayed.
Parameter "Forced control of the fresh air damper 100 %":
In the case of forced control of the fresh air damper, 100 % of the air flow will
be conveyed via the condenser (exhaust air) while there is active demand for
the chiller.
Parameters "Min. speed"/"Min.stage":
During active cooling, the fan speed or fan stage will be controlled to at least
the preset value.
Parameters "Max. output"/"Max. stage":
The cooling capacity will be limited to the preset output or stage.
IK Control
If there is bus communication between the two Wolf control units, the fan
speed (only in the case of non-stage fans without pressure or flow rate
control) can be controlled as a function of the high or low pressure of the
refrigerant circuits.
A pressure differential can be set relative to the load dump limit.
In other words, in the factory setting, the speed is increased at 2.0 bar from
the triggering of the load dump. A max. speed can be set.
