WIRING:
USING BOATS FACTORY HORN SYSTEM (TWO WIRE SYSTEM)

WARNING: You are required to use the relay supplied with this horn kit to protect the factory horn button 
switch and wiring. The original factory horn draws less amperage and the relay will ensure that the horn works 
reliably and will protect the factory horn system.
13. Remove the two (2) wires connected 
to factory horn. 
14. Connect relay terminal 85 to one of 
the factory horn wires. Note: It does not 
make a difference which factory wire is 
connected to terminal 85.
15. Connect relay terminal 86 to the 
other factory horn wire.
16. Connect relay terminal 30 to 
positive (+) 12-volts such as the battery, 
alternator or fuse block. Use 16-gauge 
or heavier wire. 

WARNING: The 20-amp 

inline fuse provided must be used and 
connected directly to the power source.
17. Connect relay terminal 87 to the 
compressor’s positive (+) terminal. Use not less than 16-gauge wire.
18. Connect the compressor’s negative (-) terminal to boat’s negative (-) battery post or any clean metal 
negative surface. Use not less than 16-gauge wire.

RECAP OF RELAY TERMINAL CONNECTIONS

Relay terminals 30: connected to 12-volts (+) positive, using the 20-amp inline fuse. 
Relay terminal 85: is connected to one of the factory horn wires.  
Relay terminal 86: is connected to the other factory horn wire.  
Relay terminal 87: is connected to the compressor’s (+) motor terminal.  
The compressor’s negative (-) terminal is connected the boat’s negative (-) battery post.

WARNING: ALWAYS TEST THE HORN SIGNAL SYSTEM BEFORE USING THE VESSEL TO ENSURE 

THE HORN IS FUNCTIONING AT PEAK PERFORMANCE. YOUR LIFE AND THE LIVES OF PEOPLE 

ARE DEPENDENT ON THE VESSEL HAVING A WORKING HORN SIGNAL SYSTEM. NEVER USE THE 

VESSEL WITHOUT A WORKING HORN SYSTEM.
