•

•

•
Fit the sideguard on the balustrade so that the armrest reaches the desired height.
•
Fit the armrest to the chair.
Repeat the procedure if the desired armrest height is not achieved.
6.12 Adjustment of balancepoint
To change the wheelchair balancepoint and stability, the rear axle can be adjusted back and
forth. When moving the rear axle and hence the rear wheels, the casters are relieved and it is
easier to tilt the wheelchair. This do make the wheelchair easier to maneuver for the advanced
user. When moving backwards, the wheelchair becomes more difficult to tip up onto the drive
wheels. The distance between casters and rear wheels does increase the driving stability.
For safety reasons, the wheelchair is delivered as a starting point with the rear axle located
far back. Unauthorized users should not change this before they are familiar with using the
wheelchair.
CAUTION!
To prevent the wheelchair from accidentally tipping backwards, it is recommended that the
user always have another person to stand behind the wheelchair when a new setting of the
balance point is being tested.
CAUTION!
