WOODS
BELT REPLACEMENT
HYDRO TRANSAXLE DRIVE BELT
1. Remove cutterdeck belt (see cutterdeck belt
replacement).
2. Disconnect wire

at clutch
M
. Remove bolts
J
and remove torque restraint.
3. Using a ratchet with a 9/16" socket, place over
nut at location
P
. Use the ratchet to rotate it
enough to remove the transaxle drive belt.
4. Install a new transaxle drive belt by performing
these steps in reverse order.
5.
Inspect the fans. Replace if worn or damaged.
Torque transaxle pulley nut to 28.3-41.6 ft-lbs
(38-56 Nm).
6. Reinstall cutterdeck belt (see cutterdeck belt
replacement).
NOTE:
Always use Woods replacement belts, not general purpose belts. Woods belts
are specially designed for use on this mower and will normally last longer.
CUTTERDECK BELT
1. Remove floorplate.
2. Set the cutterdeck in a middle height-of-cut posi-
tion.
3. Use a 3/8" ratchet and extension to back
tensioning idler off to remove belt from idler.
Remove belt from cutterdeck pulleys.
NOTE:
Use the 3/8" ratchet in the square hole

the idler.
4. Remove belt from clutch pulley.
5. Install the new belt by performing these steps in
reverse order.
BELT TENSION
All belts are tensioned by spring loaded idlers and do
not require any adjustment.
