WOOD’S - THE WORLD’S
LEADING DEHUMIDIFIERS

Wood’s dehumidifiers have been

known as market leaders for many

years. Wood’s dehumidifiers are suit

-

able for use in the most demanding
climates, and have high dehumidifying
capacity even at lower temperatures
and humidity levels. They are used
with good results in premises that
become damp such as cellars, garages
or summer-houses. They are also ex-
cellent for drying washing, attics, pool

rooms and laundry, being efficient and

low on energy consumption. Wood’s

dehumidifiers will dry your clothes ef

-

ficiently without wearing them out.

The amount of humidity that the

dehumidifier removes depends on

temperature, humidity level and place-
ment. External weather conditions

may also affect the performance of

the dehumidifier. In cold weather the

actual humidity, (in grams per cubic
meter air) decreases and thus the
extraction of humidity from the air by

the dehumidifier is reduced. Therefore

the dehumidifier is suitable for use in

the temperature range +5˚C to +35˚C.

Wood’s dehumidifiers are safe in

operation and intended for continuous
use over many years.

EXCESSIVE AIR HUMIDITY -
A DANGER

Condensation occurs when water
vapour in the air comes into contact
with a cold roof, window or wall. When
water vapour is cooled down, conden-
sation occurs, and water-drops are
formed. In high air humidity, the air
may get musty and mould is formed,
causing damage to a house and its fur-
nishings. This environment may even
cause illness for the residents, since
mites and other creatures thrive in a

damp environment. A dehumidifier

with high performance creates a good,
healthy humidity level, and for great-

est efficiency the doors and windows

of rooms that are being dehumidified

should be kept closed. Wood’s dehu-

midifiers remove odours,

PLACEMENT OF YOUR
DEHUMIDIFIER

Wood’s dehumidifiers are easy to

move around, all you need to have is
a power source for 220/240V, but bear
in mind the following:

- The dehumidifier should not be placed

near radiators or other heat sources

or exposed to direct sunlight, as it will

reduce performance.

- It is beneficial to use a radiator or

heating fan to keep the temperature

above +5˚C.

- The dehumidifier should stand at least

25cm from a wall or other obstruction,

for maximum air flow.

- Ideal is to put it in the centre

of the room / area.

USING THE DEHUMIDIFIER

If the dehumidifier is transported

horizontally, oil may have run out of
the compressor and into the closed
piping system. In such a case, let the

dehumidifier stand for a few hours

before being used. It is very important
that the oil runs back into the com-

pressor, otherwise the dehumidifier

may be seriously damaged. Once
the unit is plugged in, you will hear 3
noise signals. The unit can be switched

on and off by pressing the “POWER”

button.

dries wood and remove moisture from
sportswear outdoors equipment. A

dehumidifier may be used in cellars,

washrooms, garages, crawl spaces,
caravans, summer-houses and on

boats. If the dehumidifier is kept in

colder environments, you should study
the Hints at the end of the manual.

            NOTE :
When placed in a shower or

bathing area, the dehumidifier should

be fixed in place. It is compulsory to

check and respect your local bath-
room regulations before use.

NOTE :

The unit is set to work between

5ºC and + 35ºC. If the tempera-ture
goes outside this range it will

automatically switch off. The unit will

automatically restart when the tem-
perature goes within the range.

DEFROST

When the temperature of the copper

tubes is ≤1

o

C, the compressor will

stop after 30 min and the fan will
keep running for defrosting. The
compressor will automatically restart
when the defrost is completed.

WATER TANK

An indicator will illuminate and a

buzzer will sound 10 times when the

water tank is full. The compressor will
stop automatically which will stop the
unit from dehumidifying.

1. Disconnect the dehumidifier from

the power source.
2. Empty the water reservoir.

Put the empty reservoir back in its

3.
position.

 Connect the dehumidifier to the

4.

power source.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To clean the outside of the unit, use
a soft dry cloth. You can use a soft neu-
tral agent if the appliance is very dirty,
but avoid any abrasive tool or liquid.
Do not spray water on the unit. If the

dehumidifier is not used for a long

period, unplug the unit, dry the water

container and clean the filter. Store the

unit in a box or cover it to avoid the
dust to build in.

DRAINAGE OF WATER

The dehumidifier is fitted with a hose

connection: please refer to FIG 8 and
FIG 9.

Using the hose:

 Disconnect the dehumidifier from

1.

the power source and remove the
water reservoir to give access to the
drip tray.

Attach the hose coupling to the

2.

thread on the dehumidifier and lead

the hose to a drainage outlet. Check
that the hose is not above the level of
the drip tray.

 Connect the dehumidifier to the

3.

power source.

WHEN THE DEHUMIDIFIER
REQUIES SERVICING

If the dehumidifier requires servicing,

you must first contact the retailer.

Proof of purchase is required for all
warranty claims.

LOW TEMP. MODE

When the ambient temperature is

≤5˚C, the product will finish its defrost

cycle one time, and then, the compres-
sor keeps working for 30 min and the
fan keeps working for 70 min. After

this time, the fan will run for 1 min,

every 30 minutes. When the ambient

temperature has been ≥7

o

C for at least

7 minutes, the unit will restart opera-
tion at the last set mode.

Always disconnect the cord

before cleaning.

If the supply cord is damaged, it

must be replaced by the manufac-
turer, its service agent or similarly

quali ied persons in order to avoid

hazard.

THE AIR FILTER

The air filter at the rear of the

dehumidifier ensures that the cool

-

ing coils are kept free of dust. It is

important that the filter is kept clean

so that air can flow freely through the

dehumidifier. The filter should thus be

cleaned when required.

 Remove the filter

1.

2. Wash it with warm water and a mild

cleansing agent. Alternatively the filter

may be vacuum cleaned.

3. Let the filter dry and put it back.

HINTS:

- When the dehumidifier is used in

extremely damp environments or when the

temperature is below +10˚C, the dehumidi

-

fier may stop working. A large amount of

ice builds up on the cooling coil. Turn off

the dehumidifier and place it a little above

floor level so that the ice

will melt away.

- For maximum dehumidifying power in
a room, it is recommended that the air
supply from outside and from adjoining
rooms is minimized – close doors and
ventilators.

- Increase temp. for faster dehumidification

( warm air carries more water.)

- Higher dehumidification in Autumn /

Summer because outside air is warm and
humid.

- If the power is stopped suddenly, the

machine will remain shut off for 3 minutes

before restarting automatically when the
power returns.

IMPORTANT :

Wood’s dehumidifiers must be

connected to an earthed power
source. (200-240V, 50 Hz)
