4. Loosen tailstock lock lever (see Figure
14
) and move
tailstock to end of bedway, then retighten lock lever.
This will help balance the lifting load.

5. Loosen tool rest base lock lever and move tool rest
next to tailstock.
6. To further balance load, loosen headstock lock lever
(see
Figure
15
) and move headstock to center of
bedway.

7. Wrap lifting straps around bedway (see Figure
16
), with one strap at each end. Straps should
be positioned next to bedway mounting points to
maintain best balance.
8. Use a forklift and at least 2 other people to carefully
position lathe assembly on top of legs.
