6. Service
a. Only have your device repaired by qualified, specialised personnel, and only
repair it using original replacement parts. This maintains the safety of the power
tool.
7. Special safety instructions for drills, percussion drills, cordless screwdrivers and
drill hammers.
a. Wear hearing protection when using drills, percussion drills, cordless
screwdrivers and drill hammers. The effect of noise can cause hearing loss.
b. Use the additional handle included in delivery. Loss of control of the machine can
lead to injuries.
c. Hold the appliance on the insulated grip surfaces when performing work in
which the power tool can strike concealed power supply lines. Contact with live
lines can also charge metallic tool parts and lead to an electric shock.
8. Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries and chargers
a. Keep the charger away from rain or moisture. The penetration of moisture into an
electric device increases the risk of electric shock.
b. Only charge the batteries in chargers recommended by the manufacturer. Using
a charger that is intended for a certain kind of battery for any other kind of battery
can cause a fire hazard.
c. Do not charge any third-party batteries. The charger is only intended for charging
the integrated battery with the voltage stated in the technical data. Otherwise there
is a risk of fire and/or explosion.
d. Keep the charger clean. Contamination may cause an electric shock.
e. Prior to each use, check the charger, cables and plugs. Do not use the charger if
it is apparently damaged. Do not open the charger yourself and have it repaired
with OEM parts only. Damaged chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of an
electric shock.
f. Never operate the charger on an easily flammable surface (e.g. paper, fabric,
etc.) or in a flammable environment. Danger of fire due to the heating up of the
charger during the charge process.
g. When used improperly, liquid can emerge from the battery. Avoid any contact! In
case of accidental contact, rinse with water. Should any liquid come into contact
with your eyes, consult a doctor. Leaking battery fluid can lead to skin irritations or
burns.
h. Do not open the rechargeable battery. Danger of short circuit.
i. Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, permanent solar radiation and fire.
Danger of explosion.
