9. EXTERNAL BLACK BODY
Note:
If calibra on is rejected, the camera will warn user by displaying BLACK BODY WARNING and try
to calculate new calibra on every second. If even a er ten seconds the calibra on value is s ll not ac-
ceptable, the camera will display BLACK BODY ERROR. This means that the accuracy of measurment can
not be guaranteed in any way. When sure that the black body is visible and working properly use FORCE
CALIBRATION to recalibrate the camera manually.
Note:
For maximal accuracy to be maintained, it’s recommended for the device to be sent to the manu-
facturer for a calibra on once a year, otherwise the stated accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
Warning:
as with all measurement devices, the vola lity of the device’s storage environment in terms
of temperature swings, light radia on, electromagne c interference and vibra ons can have detrimental
effects on quality of the device’s calibra on and its longevity. A empt to store the device with as few
disturbances of any sort as possible for maintaining maximal accuracy.
Make sure the black body and the camera are in a stable environment with surrounding room tempera-
