Using the Sustain Pedal can add sustain effect to the melody.

Sostenuto Pedal(2)

The Sostenuto pedal is used to sustain one note or one 

chord and meanwhile having no effect on other notes.

Soft Pedal(1)

You can diminish the melody pitch by using soft pedal.

Different voice has different sustain effect

and the sustain pedal can not make the sustain effect to 

 

the accompaniment and percussion.

Do not press the sustain pedal when you turn the power on, otherwise the sustain switch will be reversed.
