Inadequate power or
loss of power to the
processor
(All LEDs are off)
Line power is not con-
nected to the power
supply.
Verify that line power has been connected
to the power supply.
Check the jumper setting to verify that it
matches the input voltage.
Blown fuse on the power
supply.
Check the fuse. Replace if blown.
Power to the processor
has been cycled too fast,
causing a large current
inrush resulting in a
thermal overload.
Remove power to the processor for a min-
imum of two minutes. Then restore power.
Defective power supply.
Monitor the line power to chassis power
for possible transient or shorting.
Replace power supply.
Processor not in Run
Mode
(All processor LEDs
are functioning
normally)
Improper mode selected.
Verify the processor mode selected. If in
Program or Test mode, return to Run
Mode.
Line power out of range.
Check the jumper setting on the power
supply. Verify that it matches the input
voltage.
Bad connectors or
improper seating of the
power connector.
Defective processor,
power supply or chassis.
Remove power. Inspect the power supply
and processor connections.
Remove power from the chassis and
re-seat modules.
Try the existing power supply in test chas-
sis. If unsuccessful, replace the power
supply.
Controller is inoper-
able, but no major
CPU faults are
detected
Defective I/O devices or
I/O wiring.
Test inputs and outputs, according to the
I/O Troubleshooting section.
