Lowering a vehicle 

Check the oil level

Maintenance

1.  Turn the handle clockwise to close the release 

valve.

2.  Pump the handle to lift the handle to lift the vehicle 

off the jack stands.

3.  Remove the jack stands. Do not get under the 

vehicle while the vehicle is being lowered.

4.  Turn the handle slowly counter clockwise to lower 

the vehicle onto the ground.

1.  To check the hydraulic oil level, fully lower the jack 

and removed filter plug.

2.  The correct oil level should be approximately 5mm 

below the filler opening. If oil level is low, fill as 

required.

3.  Pump unloaded jack 5 or 6 times to expel air and 

then refit the plug.

NOTE: use good quality jack oil WARNING!DO 

NOT use brake fluid, or anything other than hydraulic 

jack fluid as this may cause serious damage to the 

jack and invalidate the warranty.

Monthly maintenance is recommended .Lubrication 

is critical to jacks as they support heavy loads .Any 

restriction due to dirt, rust or corrosion can cause 

either slow movement or rapid jerks damaging the 

internal components. The following steps are designed 

to keep the jack maintained and operational.

1.  Use light oil on moving parts and lightly grease the 

handle at the point it fits into the handle socket

2.  Use light oil on axles and castor bearings 

3.  Inject grease into the grease fitting

4.  Saddle &linkage-use light oil on all moving and 

pivoting parts 

5.  Handle and socket pivot bolts –use light oil to 

lubricate pivot bolts.

6.  Plunger & plunger pin –use grease to lubricate 

connection be-tween pimp plunger and pin in 

handle socket.

Always store the jack in the fully lowered position. 

This will help protect critical areas from corrosion. Do 

not use brake or transmission fluids or regular motor 

oil as they can damage the seals. Always refill with 

hydraulic jack oil.

3.  Consult the vehicle owner’s manual to ascertain 

the location of jacking points and position the jack 

beneath the lift point.

4.  Turn the handle clockwise to the closed position.

5.  To raise the vehicle pump the handle up and 

down.

6.  Place jack stands beneath the vehicle at locations 

recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Do 

not work under the vehicle without the use of jack 

stands .Jacks are not designed to maintain heavy 

loads for long periods of time .Do not attempt to 

place jack stands simultaneously under both ends 

of a vehicle or along one side of a vehicle.

7.  Turn the handle slowly counter clockwise to lower 

the vehicle onto the jack stands.

System air purge

1.  Turn the handle counter clockwise one full turn to 

open .

2.  Pump the handle eight full strokes.

3.  Turn handle clockwise to close the valve.

4.  Pump the handle until the ram reaches maximum 

height and continue to pump several times to 

remove air trapped in the ram.

5.  Turn the handle counter clockwise one full turn and 

lower the ram to the lowest position. Use force on 

the saddle if necessary.

6.  Turn the handle clockwise to the closed position 

and check for proper pump action. It may be 

necessary to perform the above more than once to 

ensure all the trapped air is evacuated.
