Cable break detector
The cable break detector is for the non-contact
detection of cable breaks in unexposed, live cables.

DANGER!
The non-contact cable break detection
function is not suitable for the detec

tion of dangerous mains voltages.
The non-contact sensor can only detect
voltages created by power sources
with sufficiently strong electric fields
(mains network, > 100 V AC).

In weaker electric fields, the device may not
recognise the applied voltage and therefore not
be cable to correctly locate the cable break.
■
If the device does not detect any voltage, this
may be caused, amongst others, by the following
factors:
• Shielded cables/wires
• Thickness and type of insulation
•
