Prior to each time the device is put
into operation, check all protective
equipment is intact and correctly

Running in the saw band
Attention !

Allow the saw band to run in properly. Other-
wise the accuracy of the saw band is perma-
nently impaired.

For the first two or three cuts, use a solid work
-
piece with a diameter of approx. 40 to 50 mm.
▸
For the first cuts, apply minimum pressure. Slowly
increase the pressure.

Never reach into the cutting area
with your hands or using objects.

Slowly lower the housing until the saw band
touches the workpiece.

Slowly increase the cutting pressure and complete
the cut.

Switch the device off at the main motor
switch [10] after use (position <0>).

Before changing the workpiece,
switch the device off by releasing

Attention !

Never attempt to block the switch
[24]
or to
manipulate its function.
Overload protection
After prolonged operation, the device
may shut down automatically due to
overheating to protect the motor against
damage.

Release the switch
[24]
and wait until the cut-out
is reset independently.
Cut-out
The electronic speed control of the
machine features a motor protection
function. It prevents the motor to con-
sume more electricity than defined in the
maximum current consumption value.
▸
If the cut-out is triggered while working, lower the
cutting pressure.
Automatic mode
(only PBS 120-A and PBS 160-A)
▸
Raise the arm to maximum height.
▸
Move the sawing head slowly up to 5 mm from
the workpiece.
▸
Press the switch
[24]
and the switch
[28]
.
▸
Release the sawing head and wait until the cut
has been executed fully.
