Wiring and Connections
HDBaseT Wiring
Wiring for HDBaseT follows the EIA T568B standard.
IMPORTANT! Wiring Guidelines
• The use of patch panels, wall plates, cable extenders, kinks in cables, and electrical or environmental interference can have an adverse effect on
HDBaseT transmission limiting performance. Steps should be taken to minimize these factors (or remove completely) during installation for best
results.

Operation
The SW-1001-HDBT features hot-plug detection to enable instant
switching to any source device plugged in to the rear of the unit or a
desk plate, and instant disconnection from any device unplugged. On
removing a connected device, the SW-1001-HDBT will return to the
last available active source connected.
The unit also includes CEC support to trigger an ‘ON’ command for
the sync device when connecting an active source. Disconnecting
or powering off sources instructs the sync device to turn off after a
predefined period of time – duration variable between 1min-1hour or
function can be deactivated.
(See full manual for further CEC details and customization.)
Control the SW-1001-HDBT via local push button, Web UI or RS232
using control protocols, with local source selection made by pressing
the relevant button on the front panel.
A static green LED above the input button indicates the source
selected and flashing blue STATUS LED illustrates the SW-1001-
HDBT is active and functioning correctly.
See full manual for operation using Web UI and RS232.
