Due to the default setting in White Balance 

(WB) of Canon camera has been altered to 

meet the micro-photography requirement prior 

to its shipping, but it also can be adjusted to 

the function of 

Custom 

W

hite 

B

alance

to match the need of the light source at the 

shooting location. (See the camera CANON 

IXUS 115HS user guide page 86.) 

1.Get one white paper in the front of the 

lens for reference of Custom 

WB

2.After pressing the       button of camera, 

press the           buttons to choose       , 

then press the       button again.

3.Press the          buttons to choose       , 

then press the        button again for 

setting done.

4.Make lens approach the white paper 

enables it to be filled in the screen. 

 

And press 

MENU

 button; the tint on the 

screen will change when 

WB

 new data 

is set.

Note

It is useless to adjust 

WB

 while 

the light source is in the mode of 

Blue, UV, or using the lens filter.

It’s another way for Manually Correcting the 

WB

 if there’s no plain, white colored 

subject could be entirely filled in the screen.

*3. Changing the ISO Speed

  Lowering the ISO speed results in sharper images, but there may be an increased 

chance of image blurring in certain shooting conditions.  Raising the ISO speed will result 

in a faster shutter speed, reducing camera shake and letting the flash reach greater 

distances to the subject.  The images, however, will appear coarse.

    

 <Hint > Get the setting on ISO 100/200, not over ISO 400 for micro-shooting.

*4.        Using the Self-Timer 

  To reduce the influence of vibration during shooting, please use Self-Timer for better 

performance (refer to PowerShot 110HS User Guide Page 58.)

*5. Single shooting is the default setting. In a circumstance where stable posture is hard 

to maintain, or the subject is moving or trembling, please choose Continuous Shooting 

Mode to take more pictures for getting better results.

*6. The          aspect ratio is same as the screen for this camera. The digital zoom (Camera 

Manual P.55) is only available in          .
