 Options  9-3

Introduction

This chapter covers the available options for your Accel-a-Writer
8200 printer, which includes the paper handling options—the paper
feeder, extra cassettes, and the cassette supporter. It also includes the
extra wide print option as well as the RAM (memory), resolution,
and Ethernet upgrades.

Note:

Be sure to check any readme files included with the XANTÉ
Utilities for your printing environment. Any changes or new
options since this manual was printed, will be listed in them.

Paper Handling Options

Your printer offers several ways to increase its paper handling
capacity. The standard printer has two 250 sheet cassettes (one letter/
A4 and one ledger/A3 cassette). However, only one cassette can be
used at a time unless you add the optional paper feeder which allows
you to attach another 250 sheet cassette to the printer.

If you still need an even higher capacity, you can add an optional
cassette supporter. This raises the optional feeder so that a 500 sheet
cassette will fit into it.

Optional Paper Feeder

With the addition of the optional paper feeder, a second paper
cassette can be added to your printer. This provides versatility. For
example, if you use both letter and ledger size paper, you can load
250 sheets of letter paper in one cassette and 250 sheets of ledger
paper in the second one used with the feeder. Or, by ordering an
extra letter or ledger cassette, you could run 500 sheets of the same
size paper. Plus, you still have the fold down tray where you can
load a third size of paper.

For more details on the feeder, see “Using the Optional Paper
Feeder” in chapter 6.
