Configuration 6-23
The Timeout menu allows you to set a timeout for the Novell print
server emulation. If the printer cannot locate an assigned file server
during the selected time, the Novell print server emulation is
disabled. When the file servers are active on the network again,
enable the Novell print server interface using XANTÉ Command
Center or the printer’s front panel. The options are Never and 5
minute increments to a maximum of 30 minutes (the factory default).
IP Address Configuration
When using the IP Address interface, use the keys on the front panel
to set the address as follows:
•
Reset key increases the current number flashing by one.
•
Menu key moves to the next number to the right of the current
number flashing.
•
Test key moves to the next number to the left of the current
number flashing.
•
Enter key accepts new address (if valid) and returns to I/F: IP
Address menu. The menu will display a message if the address
entered is invalid.
Note:
You must turn the printer off and restart it for the new IP
address to take effect.
Jam Recover
The Jam Recover feature reprints the last page processed after a
paper jam is cleared.
Set Jam Recover from the MISC:JAM RECOVER configuration
menu. Options are Yes to enable and No, the factory default, to
disable the feature.
Note:
If you turn off the printer to clear a paper jam, the Jam
Recover feature is not effective because all print job
information in RAM is lost.
