Kids
zone while sitting in the Master Bedroom). A list of the available

NOTE:
THESE COMMANDS ARE ALREADY PROGRAMMED INTO THE MRC88 AT THE FACTORY. They
are made available for use in special programming such as having a particular zone default to a particular
source when that zone is turned ON. Though RC68+ commands can be used to control the MRC88 via remote
control, RC68+ commands
will not
be recognized by the MRC88 Controller’s microprocessor if generated by a
MRC88 Keypad. An RC68+ command generated by a keypad will pass directly through to the emitter outputs.
To control the MRC88 from a keypad, it is necessary to use these special internal amplifier commands.

1. In the MRC88 System Window Menu, click on Palette, and select “MRC Amplifier Command
Generator” (or simply press F6 on your keyboard).
2. From the MRC88 System Window, select the Zone to be programmed. (i.e. Zone 1)
3. Click
the
button to be programmed. (i.e. “Power”) and the
Tier
to be programmed on (Tier 1 or Tier
2)
4. Select the command to be used (i.e. “Zone Source Select Command) from the pull-down list in the
Amplifier Internal Command Setup window.
5. Two Parameter boxes will appear as shown in
Figure 41
, to set the action of the command. (i.e.
Zone 1 and Source 1).
6. A table of MRC88 Controller/Amplifier commands is shown in Table 2 below with the associated
controls.
7. Click “ACCEPT” when the Internal Amplifier Command is set to the desired state.
8. The command will automatically be placed in the command list of the Zone/Button selected. (In this
example when the Zone 1 “POWER” button is pressed, and the zone is OFF, the zone will turn ON,
Source 1 will automatically be selected and by adding a “PLAY” command for a CD player to the
sequence, Zone 1 will always default to CD when turned ON. Pressing the “POWER” button again
