Operating in Battery Mode
The Freedom X is in Battery Mode (also called Inverter Mode)
when all the following conditions exist:
n
inverter power button is ON
(down position) or
ignition auto-on is activated
n
shore power is not presently available
n
battery has sufficient power
Inverter operation means that DC battery power is presently being
converted to utility grade AC power, powering equipment and
appliances connected to the AC output terminal of the unit. The
green status LED lights up to indicate the Freedom X is using the
battery to power the equipment and appliances.
BATT.MODE
Turning Inverter Operation ON and OFF
There are two ways to operate the Freedom X’s inverter.
1. Press the Power button to a down position (it is in Standby
mode in the up position).
2. When the inverter’s Ignition Control feature is set to Auto-on

WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Turning the Power button to Standby mode does not disconnect DC
battery power from the Freedom X. You must disconnect from all
power sources before working on any circuits connected to the unit.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious
injury, or equipment damage
.
To prevent unnecessary battery discharge, press the Power
button to Standby mode when you are not using the Freedom X.
