Authentication
Select from:
Open/ Shared/WPA-PSK/WPA-EAP. Open
Permits any client to use the AP as long as
they know the Passphrase.
Shared
: Uses the
WEP key as shared-key to be exchanged
between the client and the AP as a simple
form of authentication.
WPA-PSK
(pre-shared
key) mode provides less robust authentication,
but does not require a RADIUS infrastructure.
WPA-EAP
requires use of a radius server for
authentication.
Encryption
Select from:
None/WEP64/WEP128/TKIP
TKIP
(Temporal Key Integrity Protocol)
provides an additional level of security over
WEP as the key is constantly changing.
Port Class802_11
Displays status of 802.11.
