• Model engines may become used only for the purpose intended by the manufacturer, that is to move
radio controlled models.
• Warnings must be followed carefully. They refer to settings and processes which, if ignored, can cause
serious - in extreme cases fatal injury or permanent damage.
• You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your engine. Questions regarding the safe operation of
the engine will be answered by your local hobby shop.
•
WARNING:
All rotating parts, which are driven by an engine,
provide a permanent danger of
injury; never touch with any body part!
• Check before each start the engine and all parts mounted on for possible damage. The motor may be
started only after removing all defective parts.
• The motor must always be firmly and securely attached to the model, as recommended by the manufac-
turer, with sufficiently sized screws and nuts secured.
• Engine start-up should be done with either an electric starter or a suitable “starting” aid.
• Model engines producing a sound level may be far greater than 85dB (A), it is essential to wear ear pro-
tection. Never run a motor without silencer. Even with a silencer model engines can interfere neighbors.
Note rest!
•
WARNING:
Take care with loose clothing such as long sleeves or scarves etc.
High risk of injury!
•
ATTENTION:
Ensure that neither the glow plug, nor is its lead with the rotating parts in contact.
•
WARNING:
Special care should be taken when the model is transported with the engine running.
Keep rotating parts away from you.
Risk of injury!
• The use of a model with a combustion engine requires practice and above all responsibility. The engine
can develop a lot of kinetic energy, enough to bring about damage to property or injury persons. Therefore
never operate your model on public roads, squares, schoolyards, parks or sports grounds etc., and make
sure that you are always in full control.
• Inform pedestrians and spectators of all the possible dangers of your model and exhort them to remain a
sufficiently safe distance (at least 10 m).
• Never run the engines without load.
• When mounting the motor, all controls shall be arranged so accessible that a risk of injury by moving parts
can be avoided.
• When working on the motor, make sure on a safe surface, and the model has to hold firmly.
•
WARNING:
model fuels are toxic! Do not bring into contact with eyes or mouth!
It must be
stored in clearly marked containers out of the reach of children.
•
WARNING:
never start the engine in a closed room such as the basement, garage, etc.
Model
engines produce deadly carbon monoxide gas. Operate only outdoors!
•
WARNING:
Model fuels are highly flammable, keep away from open flame, excessive heat, sources
of sparks, or any other things that can lead to inflammation.
In the immediate vicinity of fuel or fuel
vapors are non-smoking.
•
WARNING:
Model engines generate a lot of heat.
Engine and muffler gets very hot during op-
eration and a while after. Contact can cause severe burns! Caution when making adjustments!
Wear protective gloves! In extreme cases, fire can be triggered.
•
WARNING:
During operation of
the engine it expels not only hot toxic exhaust gases from the
muffler, but also very hot fluid combustion residues which can cause burns.
•
Maintenance:
Clean the motor after operation. Remaining unspent fuel must be removed from the
tank and engine.
ATTENTION:
Prior to starting: make no adjustment etc. or changes on the engine before the
manual has been read. Do not disassemble the motor or loosen screws.
