Display
There are settings for LCD brightness,
LCD auto-off, and HOLD interlock.
LCD brightness
It sets up the brightness of the LCD
panel in the movie or photo viewing
mode. Brightness range is 1-10.
LCD auto-off
The LCD display automatically turns
off after the setup time. Time setup is
0-60 sees.
While recording a movie, music, or
photo file and using the USB host
function, the LCD will not turn off
automatically.
HOLD interiock
Turns off the LCD display if the Hold
button is in use.
Power save mode
When setting Power save on, the
power automatically turns off if there
are no buttons pressed for three min-
utes while it is in the main menu or in
file browser.
TV out type
You can select either NTSC or PAL
depending on your TV system.
HDD capacity
It shows the HDD information.
You can view the total capacity and
the usage of the current hard
diskdrive.
Update firmware
You can upgrade the firmware follow-
ing the procedures below.
Downloading Firmware
Follow the instructions below to down-
load firmware:
1.
Please connect to the website
found in the manual cover.
2.
Download the file to upgrade the
firmware. Do not rename the file.
Upgrading the Firmware
1.
Before upgrading the firmware,
connect the AC adapter.
2.
Connect the unit and the compu-
ter with a USB cable.
3.
Copy the downloaded firmware to
the uppermost folder.
4.
Confirm that the file has been
copied to the uppermost folder
and unplug the USB cable from
the unit and the computer.
5.
Move to the CONFIG using direc-
tion buttons and the ENTER but-
ton.
6.
Select Update firmware using the
Arrow(
) buttons and press
the ENTER button.
7.
If you select Yes, the firmware
is upgraded. If the “No valid
firmware” message appears,
connect to the computer and
check that the firmware files are
in the uppermost folder.
8.
When the firmware upgrade is
complete, the unit automatically
turns off. Turn the unit on and
confirm the firmware version to
determine whether the firmware
has been successfully upgraded.
Firmware version
You can view the current software
or hardware version of the system
firmware.
Battery status
You can check the status of the bat-
tery level.
