Appendix A: Apollo-X Remote Head
The Apollo-XRH is the remote head option to allow for better load balancing
by separating the locations of the electronics package from the battery pack.
The Apollo-XRH features all of the capabilities of the standard Apollo-X and is
supplied power via a waterproof cable to a 4-Pin bulkhead connector.
The Apollo-XRH is equipped with steering diodes for its input supply pins to
allow for powering from two sources via a Y-cable. The Apollo-XRH would
then be powered by the source that has the higher voltage. If only a single
supply is utilized, the other pin is simply not utilized.
Note
: While the pins are labelled with different names below, the Apollo-
XRH treats both power sources the same. Xeos’ standard battery pack pinout
utilizes Pins 1 and 4 for V- and V+, respectively.
