States
The CiPress
™
state is displayed in the printer status area.
Description
State
The CiPress
™
is powered off, or otherwise disconnected.
Note
The Off state will never be shown on the CiPress
™
UI for the local printer.
It will be shown for other printers in the print line.
Off
The CiPress
™
software is starting up.
Initializing
The CiPress
™
is preparing internal subsystems to be available for
production.
Warming
The CiPress
™
is in a power conservation state.
Sleeping
There are no electrical or mechanical conditions preventing the local
CiPress
™
from printing. The CiPress
™
will not cycle up if data is available.
Note
You must press the Start button to put the CiPress
™
into a Ready state
to enable production.
Not Ready
The CiPress
™
has one or more machine errors displayed; the web is not
moving.
Error
The CiPress
™
is ready for production (waiting for job data to cycle up).
Ready
The CiPress
™
is in production (cycled up, web moving or preparing to
move).
Printing
The CiPress
™
is ejecting paper. Marks may be printing.
Ejecting
The CiPress
™
is advancing paper without printing.
Feeding Paper
The web must be advanced a specific distance (with print heads
retracted) prior to any printing.
Web Advance Required
The CiPress
™
is preparing to cycle up (buffering job data and / or
generating image files required for printing).
Preparing to Cycle Up
When more than one printer state applies, the CiPress
™
UI displays the highest priority
state as indicated below:
