Color Patches in Job
This feature enables the Image Sensor to identify and compensate for missing jets from
the Print Heads to maintain image quality.
The CiPress
™
has built-in algorithims to provide an alert when the number of missing jets
could begin to compromise image quality.
When this feature is not enabled, the CiPress
™
is not able to self-correct for any image
quality issues that may arise.
Note
A minimum of 100 frames is required prior to self-correction taking place.
In many cases,
may need to be run a few times to adequately
unclog any missing jets before optimal image quality is achieved. Print Heads containing
certain amounts of missing jets are automatically marked for cleaning using information
provided by the Image Sensor.
For more information, see
When this feature is enabled, each time the CiPress
™
cycles-up to run a job, the color
patches are scheduled to be printed in consecutive frames for the CiPress
™
Printer(s)
prior to the first images of your job.
• If the form length is 11 inches or greater, both CiPress
™
Printers (if a duplex system)
schedule the color patches at the interval set on the CiPress
™
UI.
Note
The test patterns from both CiPress™ Printers are placed in a single frame.
• If the form lengths are between 6.5 inches and 11 inches, the color patches from
both CiPress
™
Printers (if a duplex system) will not fit in a single frame. In this case,
the usage of the color patch alternates between printers so that each CiPress
™
receives
an update at twice the color patch interval set on the CiPress
™
UI.
